Don’t you want me, baby?

TEACHER: Joss Willsbrough
THEME: Don’t you want me, baby?

Joss:  Desire is a powerful thing. For me, it can be hard to tell the difference between attachment, and some of its constellating synonyms: yearning, dissatisfaction, imagination, devotion, care, or just plain wanting. We’re attached to ourselves, we’re attached to others, we’re attached to certain imaginings of how we want the world to be. We want things. And far as I’m concerned, that’s okay. Our desires pave a path. For the moment, I’m less interested in “releasing attachments” and more in “rearranging” them. Let’s be sure (as we can) that the paths of desire we’re paving lead us where we want to go.
