Emptiness and Form

TEACHER: Jeff Warren
THEME: Emptiness and Form
MEDITATION: Deep rest is all around

Jeff: Let’s see … “something something something,” then “nothing nothing nothing.” “Nothing,” you say? “Nothing of any importance,” you respond. “Well, that’s something.” “But it isn’t,” you insist! “It isn’t any thing at all.” etc etc. Yup, this week we’ll explore The Really Big Mystery of Emptiness = Form and Form = Emptiness. And by “explore” I mean I’ll say a few paradoxical words about a subject that I don’t really understand, and then I’ll guide a practice that may give some people a momentary flicker into one version of a mystery that no one else understands either. And that, my friends, is what’s known as meditative progress!

With calls for social distancing to curb the spread of COVID-19, CEC is cancelling our Monday night sits at Mosaic Yoga in Toronto for the foreseeable future. We will instead offer virtual meditation sits and discussions via Zoom. Please join us Mondays at 7:30pm(EST) to meditate in community and cultivate some connection in these socially distant times. Teachers and practices will vary from week to week. If you live outside of Toronto and have always wanted to check out CEC, now’s your chance!

We encourage everyone near and far to participate. If you are able to donate a little something in return, we would greatly appreciate it. It’s a tough time financially right now, as we’re losing the income generated from our live offerings and fundraising events.  Every little bit helps us keep going with our mission to make meditation and personal growth practices awesome and accessible to all! We gratefully accept donations via e-transfer (within Canada) or Paypal, sent to consciousnessexplorersclub@gmail.com. You can also sign up to be a monthly supporter via our Patreon page, and receive added perks and benefits in return!
