Avi: Many of us are deeply concerned right now about the vulnerable people in our life and in our community, those who are the hardest hit by the pandemic. Tonight’s practices will work to generate compassion for all those who are suffering, sending our caring intentions far and wide.
Avi: Dialectical integration happens when we hold different poles of our experience in our awareness until we understand the larger, meaningful whole of which they are parts. In tonight’s meditation we concentrate attention on an integrative concept such as “wholeness” while allowing our awareness to embrace multiple fields of meaning and perception.
Avi: It’s a spiritual cliché that we hold our issues in our tissues. Well, it’s a cliché for a reason. In tonight’s meditation we’ll notice where unconscious parts are hiding out in our body and work with attentional techniques to begin to break apart our defensive holding patterns.
