Buddhas in Disguise
Tasha: What if everyone in your life was actually a fully awakened being, slogging it out beside you just to nudge you into the growth you’re ready for? Like The Truman Show… but with Buddhas instead of actors! This is the old Tibetan practice of Lojong (mind-training), which invites us to look again at the people who have toughened us, softened us, derailed us, or quietly saved our asses while seeming anything but enlightened. It’s a radical way of tapping into the inseparability of ourselves and others, and of cultivating gratitude, humility, and equanimity about the unpredictable ways community leaves its fingerprints on our lives.
