Insourcing Peace
Jane: I love the winter. I find it the most peaceful time of year, with all the permission to stay cozy indoors. But what I love most about the winter is walking in it. My very definition of peace is walking in the muffled silence of the snowy woods. This year, though, I’m struggling with an issue that makes walking more than a few minutes very painful. And guess what? Less winter walking, much less winter peace. In an effort to taste a little bit of that particular winter stillness that I usually find outside, we’ll go inside, and see where we can find peace in our sensory experience.
