Jeff: How does mindfulness work, and why is it a path worth exploring? In part one I’ll lead us through the dynamics of this living practice, touching on the importance of awareness and how it leads to what Buddhist call “insight and purification.”  For part two we’ll explore what this looks like in real life – out on the street, where people are throwing beer cans at your head. What does it mean to keep mindfulness awareness then? Are you allowed to throw beer cans back? Yes, but only once you finish drinking what life has so generously provided. But I digress. The question here is: how meta can you be with increasing levels of intensity? That’s one way to look at the goal of this practice (but not, thank God, the only way!)
