The Consciousness Explorers Club offers courses, workshops and mini-retreats suited for organizations and corporate environments. All of our teachers have experience in delivering innovative mindfulness workshops to people with a wide-range of meditation experience, from no experience at all to those with a multi-year practice.

Below are some of our offerings. Each can be rolled out as experiential talks, weekend workshops, or a series of lunchtime classes. All are scalable and can be customized to fit different contexts; we tailor adventures in consciousness exploration to meet specific client needs. Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation

1 – 2 hour talk / workshop

Mindfulness in reasonable doses is good for most people. It helps reduce stress and trains the mind to be more easy-going, with benefits that can be applied to anything, including your job, your relationship to colleagues, your creativity and your general sense of well-being. In this workshop, we teach – in a fun and accessible way – the primary attentional skills involved in mindfulness: clarity, concentration, equanimity and friendliness. We’ll also explore how to “ride the wave” of our ridiculous and beautiful impulses so that we can begin to operate from a saner and roomier place. Features a mix of guided practice, discussion, and how to apply mindfulness skills in life.

Mindfulness, Meditation and Consciousness: An Explorer’s Curriculum

1 -2 day workshop / or a series of 6 one-hour classes

Based on Jeff Warren’s popular 7-week “ Way of the Consciousness Explorer” course, in this workshop, we’ll explore different styles and “objects” of meditation, and unpack how the whole meditative thing works. The curriculum is designed to help participants’ identify new ways of working and thriving and existentially-recalibrating to the world around them.

The Art of Concentration

7 week course

In meditation, the skill of concentration is both the engine and steering wheel of practice. Very simply, concentration is the skill of intentionally controlling attention. Putting your mind where you want it to go rather than letting it be swept wherever the winds of unconscious mental habits would carry it. We are often told that meditation is all about letting go, but this is only one part of it. The vast majority of meditation traditions also emphasize the importance concentration skills – not only does it greatly enhance every kind of meditation practice, it also enhances life. Concentration skills give you a greater ability to shape your awareness as the needs of your situation demand. In this 7-week course, you’ll be guided step by step to understand and experientially master the fundamental underlying principles of concentrated attention. Participants will receive fun, outside-the-box daily practices that will keep you engaged, making step-by-step progress in your skill level.
