MEDITATION THEME: Tremoring to release tension held in your fight-or-flight muscles
Thu: Shaking is a natural way to release tension and restore a sense of well-being in all mammals, including us humans. Animals naturally shake to release tension after a stressful event and get back to living in the moment. Humans though have been socially conditioned to be stoic, unfazed and pretend to be fine. However, it also means we’ve learned over time to stop the tremors and trap the stress in our bodies. In this session, you’ll get to experience your neurogenic tremors on your yoga mat after a simple set of stretches that are designed to reboot our overprotective reflexes in our nervous system.
