The Body Tree

THEME: The Body Tree.
MEDITATION: Shikantaza work out – just sitting, just standing.
GROUP PRACTICE:  Just when it seems all mind, your body shows you that there’s a place beyond ideas, a consciousness that springs from every cell and bacteria of your seething micro biome  Somehow it all comes together and gathers into YOU.  Now that it has, what are you going to do?  How about listen and respond?  Show love and kindness to the body, so the same is reflected back.  We’ll explore how in the group practice, particularly as related to sitting.  We’ll start with posture, then get some advice from a couple pros (massage, yoga) about how to iron out any meditation-related kinks, all to free both mind and body.  (**note, bring  accuball/tennis ball for self-massage sesh)
